Born in 1998 in Berlin, Germany, Mo Issa already had his very first leading role at the age of 13 years old. A fortunate coincidence helped him to the role: He discovered a casting schedule online. However, the role requested for a Russian boy and his parents reminded him to focus on his studies rather than surfing the internet. But that didn’t stop Mo Issa from applying for the casting schedule. He was actively supported by his older brother, who already played theater. The young talent did not have to convince the Susan Marquardt for long and got his first role in the much-discussed drama “Wir waren Könige” at the tender age of only 13 years. Subsequently in 2014 the young actor was nominated for the New German Cinema Award (Förderpreis Neues Deutsches Kino) in the “Best Actor” category. Mo Issa discovered his love for acting very early on, but he took a break at first to concentrate on graduating from school prior to devoting himself entirely to acting. Since then Mo Issa has been regularly in front of the camera for series or stand-alone productions.
In the last few years he played in the series “Wir sind die Welle”, “Dogs of Berlin”, in the cinema
movie “Contra” by Sönke Wortmann and many other productions. Most recently he was in front of the camera as a member of the ensemble on “Der Überfall”.
